Aerie House Rules
Every member who enters the Social Room should be familiar with these rules. They are our Code of Conduct while in the Aerie. We all need to educate ourselves and remind others when they violate these rules. This will ensure that a pleasurable social environment is maintained for all to enjoy. The rules are posted at the main entrance. Thank You. The Trustees
House Rules
1. The Bartender on duty is in charge and responsible for upholding the rules of the Social Room at all times.
2. The Trustees shall have control of the Arie Social Room under the direction and guidance of the Arie, and shall employ, discharge, and have control of all employees of the Arie. The Trustees shall open and close at hours that are compatible with existing state and municipal laws and conditions of the community.
3. The Board of Trustees shall be responsible for the preservation of orderly and gentlemanly conduct of all Members and guests in the Arie and said Board shall have the power to deny privileges for a period of ninety (90) days to any Member who shall have violated any House Rule that prohibits intoxication, disorderly conduct, profane language, indecent or improper conduct or any action deemed unacceptable by the Arie.
4. Any Member of the Arie or the Auxiliary, once becoming a Member, shall be current in their dues or they may not maintain their privileges in the Social Room, nor may they be brought in as a guest.
5. Any Member of the Arie or the Auxiliary, in good standing, shall have the privilege of bringing as their guest any Non-Member, male or female, but the Member shall be held responsible for the conduct of their guest. Non-Members of the order shall not be allowed to visit the Arie more than three (3) times per annum without express permission granted by the Worthy President.
6. When a Member destroys or damages any property of the Arie and refuses or fails to pay full value there of, he will have charges filed against him by the Trustees. No article or articles belonging to the Arie shall be taken from the Arie, except in the interest of the order, and only on consent of one of the Trustees. Any such articles must be recorded in the logbook by the bartender.
7. All children under the age of 16 shall not be permitted in the of the parent or guardian, when bartender or officer intervention is necessary, parent or guardian and children must leave. No child shall be unsupervised at any time. No children under the age of 16 shall have use of the pool table or shuffleboard. Private Parties who have rented the social room are the only exception to the rule. Children of a Member in the Social Room at the time of a private party must vacate the premises at 7:00 PM, unless they are part of the private party.
No one under the age of 21 shall at any time occupy a bar stool or order/pay for drinks and must be at a table with a parent or guardian.
8. It shall be the duty of the Trustees to see that all Arie property is kept clean, attractive and sanitary condition. Every Member is encouraged to help keep the Arie in a neat and attractive manner.
9. The Trustees shall not permit Members or their guests to bring pets into the Arie.
10. The Trustees shall not permit spirits or malt beverages to be taken from the Arie or brought into the Arie at any time.
11. Unbecoming conduct: Any Member who shall conduct themselves in a manner which is unbecoming of an Eagle, or which is calculated to disturb the harmony or impair the good name or the prosperity of the Arie or its Members, either in the Arie or elsewhere, shall upon conviction thereof, be fined as appropriately determined by the Arie, or be suspended for a fixed period of time, or be expelled from the order, as the Arie in its discretion may determine.
12. All keys to the Arie will be the responsibility of the Trustees.
13. Social Room rental is governed by the Trustees. Non-Members may apply for rental with the following fees:
a. $150.00 for event with 6 hours maximum, $6.00 per hour for extra bartender with a 3 hour minimum.
b. $100 deposit for cleaning, refundable upon inspection by Trustees or their designee, at the conclusion of the event.
c. Members will be exempt from the $150.00 only, and all Non-Members requirements and fees apply.
d. Note: Social Room is open to Members not included in event.
14. During business hours Members and Non-Members are not allowed behind the bar without permission of the bartender on duty.
15. Out of courtesy to fellow Members all telephone conversations shall be conducted away from the bar, so as not to disturb Members at the bar.
16. All motor vehicles must park in designated parking areas only.
17. The building is a smoke-free facility and smoking may only take place outdoors. The use of any tobacco products, E-cigarettes or Vaporizers shall be prohibited from the building.
18. Any Member complaining of any violation of these rules is required to report same to the attention of the Board of Trustees, and if required to do so by the Trustees, shall sign a written statement of such violation.
